The mouthwash contains eucalyptol, which is an active botanical repellent. Which is the same ingredient that the non-deet repellents are mixing with lemon.
The problem, there isn't enough eucalyptol in mouthwash to last more than a few minutes.The main reason I posted this article? The awesome illustration:
