This is a place where say you have this great idea for a project (books, magazines, albums (and album reissues), plays, films, art projects, iPhone apps) and can never gather up enough money to start it. Kickstarter can help you get the money you need to start your project through donations (which is rerouted through amazon.com) and the supporters get exclusive access and rewards in exchange for their patronage. There is no catch, people who use Kickstarter to fund their projects ("project creators") keep 100% ownership and control. Check all the other details in their "Learn More" section of their site.Kickstarter is part fundraiser and part a platform where the creators can communicate with their supporters, the ones that helped them get to where they need to go.
