Pinterest's Android App

When Android's Holo theme came out, I knew that Android apps would start to step up their game on UI design. Pinterest's new app for Android is an excellent example of how Android apps can be beautiful. Pinterest's branding is perfect for the flat style of Holo. The reason why more Apple apps are usually well designed is that the basic UI tools they give to developers are also well designed. Since it's hard for developers to find a good designer, well designed basic UI tools at least gives developers a chance to make something that not only works well, but makes people want to use it.I'm sure that Pinterest had a great set of designers to work with, but my point is that we're going to start seeing many more well designed Android apps.
